Beginning knitting classes will be offered at the Henry County Cooperative Extension Service from 3:30 to 5 p.m., starting Tuesday, Feb. 1. Saundra Smith will be teaching the class for youth ages 9 to 19. She has also agreed to teach any adults that would like to attend. The first project will be a simple scarf. Each participant must bring their own supplies. You will need to bring size 11 knitting needles and one skein of Super Saver Red Heart Yarn in your favorite color.
