Alice Watkins, 88

Alice (Batts) Watkins, age 88 of Bagdad, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Slatterly, Bagdad.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Bro. Chuck Umholtz, pastor of Beechridge Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
