It's a bit unusual for a farmer to also be a tennis player, especially back in the 1950s. But that's exactly how Henry Baughman, who now lives in Smithfield, started out.
It was Sunday afternoons when the youngster would watch his dad play a few matches in Danville. Then, the family built an asphalt court right on their own farm - a resemblance to the 1989 movie Field of Dreams.
The Baughmans played as often as they could, but between milking cows and going to school, it wasnt nearly as much as young Henry would have liked.
