When the top swimmers at the KHSAA Region 3 Championships lined up for the finals Saturday afternoon, a Henry County High School swimmer was taking her mark for the first time. And after Kaitlin Blair tapped poolside at the Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center in Versailles to end her 100-yard breaststroke race, history was made back at HCHS.
Blair qualified for final-day action by placing 12th in the semifinals the day before, and then brought back to HCHS a 11th-place finish in the finals, the best-ever for the school that started a swimming program just three years ago.
