Wednesday, December 3

Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Henry County High School and Middle School band will hold citrus fundraiser sales continuing through today. Delivery date for the ordered fruit will be on Dec. 16, just in time for the holidays. To place an order contact any band member, Mr. Anderson at the middle school or Theresa Smith at (502) 845-9087.

Eastern Elementary SBDM council will meet at 4 p.m. in the school library.

The HCMS Site Based District meeting will be held at 4 p.m. in the middle school conference room.

Orders for Angel Food Ministries will be taken at New Castle Christian Church from 9 a.m. to noon.

Thursday, December 4

TOPS 298 will meet at Orville Baptist Church. Weigh in 4:30 p.m. and meeting at 5 p.m. New members welcome.

Friday, December 5

Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. The group will also meet Sunday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., at Henry County Library and Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m., at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Eminence Masonic Lodge will meet at 7:30 p.m. above Chat and Nibble Restaurant.

Community Life Center in Eminence is hosting 3-on-3 tournament beginning at 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per team. Please contact Alex at (502) 845-2135 for more information.

New Castle United Methodist Women Holiday Bazaar bake sale luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Castle United Methodist Church.

Saturday, December 6

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Community Shower to be held at 3 p.m. at Cropper Baptist Church for Claude and Paula Holmes who lost all their belonging to a house fire on November 2.

The Smoke Doctors are cooking for Henry County (Salvation Army/YSC/FRC) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 390 S. Main Street in New Castle. Come purchase your lunch/supper and bring a monetary donation or a donation of hygiene items, cleaning supplies, toilet tissue, paper towels to help the needy families of Henry County. The Alateen “Together We Can Make It” group will meet at 8 p.m. at the Methodist

Church in Eminence.

Henry County High School SBDM council will meet at 6 p.m. at HCHS.

Joe Sparrow, Kentucky Territory Sales Manager for All Tech, will discuss the benefits of their products for goats including Sel-Plex, an organic selenium at the NCKGPA meeting at 7 p.m. at the Henry County Extension Office. Support the Henry County Band at the Applebee’s Flapjack fundraiser in LaGrange from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door. All the flapjacks you can eat and a beverage for $5.

Sunday, December 14

The grief support group for people dealing with the loss of a loved one or close friend will meet at 3 p.m. at the Henry Christian Church. The group meets the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Tuesday, December 16

The Henry County Middle and High School band will perform at the annual holiday concert. Performance time begins at 7 p.m. in the HCMS commons area. Admission is free. Anyone who ordered fruit from the band may also pick it up.
