A Capitol experience for Henry County 4-H

-A A +A
By Cathy Toole

A delegation of 24 4-H’ers and seven adults made their way to Frankfort last Tuesday to see our government in action. The day began with a general assembly of 4-H’ers from across the Commonwealth held in the Capitol Rotunda. Several legislators addressed the group and brought greetings.

The Henry County group attended several committee meetings where bills were reviewed and voted on by committee members. One of particular interest was on banning public smoking in restaurants across the state.
