I would like to personally invite the residents of Henry County home to the Henry County Republican Party. As the new chairman of the Republican Party in Henry County, I would like to invite you to join us. At our County Mass Convention, we elected a new County Committee. I welcome Vice-Chair Bonnie Martin, Secretary Angie Doyle, returning Treasurer Terry Cummings, Youth Chairman Mike Prenn and Communications Director Chris Cannon. This is a great team, however, we can’t do it with out you. We need your help! Come home to the Grand Old Party, and help us take back our county, and our Country.
Historically, Henry County has been a Democrat county, but it is our goal to change that. In the last county election, the Henry County Local said, in part, that the last Election “Ended Decades of Democratic Dominance” in Henry County, due to the fact that two magisterial seats were won by Republicans Roger Hartlage and Scott Bates, and Ricky Doyle made an impressive showing against the sitting Democrat judge-executive.
Party registration is growing as well. In 2002, Henry County was 16 percent Republican; 10 years later, the Republican Party has almost doubled to 30 percent. With Shelby and Oldham Counties growing in their GOP census, it is only a matter of time before the numbers begin to level out for Henry County as well.
I would love to talk to you, and find a place for you to help us grow the GOP in Henry County.
The Henry County Republican Party meets the second Tuesday of each month, at the Henry County Board of Education, in New Castle. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-706-1744 if you have any questions. A good time to come meet the Henry County Republican Party, would be the Lincoln Reagan Dinner, April 28, at the New Castle Elementary School. For more information on this event go to www.henrygop.com/lincoln---reagan-dinner.html.
Finally, please join me in thanking Rex Morgan for his service these past four years as chairman and to Marie Oder as vice chair. Rex and Marie will continue to be an integral part of the Henry County Republican Party. I look forward to hearing from you.
