Wednesday, August 12

Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

CARE Team coalition luncheon will be held at the library at noon. Please RSVP for lunch (502) 878-0001.

Thursday, August 13

TOPS 298 will meet at Orville Baptist Church. Weigh in 4 p.m. New members welcome.

Friday, August 14

Alcoholic’s Anonymous  meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet Sunday, August 16 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, August 18 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Henry County Farmers Market will be at Brownings Pontiac in Eminence on Fridays from noon to 5 p.m.

Saturday, August 15

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Sunday, August 16

The KY Cowboy Church will hold praise and worship services every Sunday at 6 p.m. For more information Call (502) 845-7897.

Regular services will be held at Grubridge Community Church at 2:30 p.m.

No Debt, No Sweat Seminar to be held at Shelbyville Church of Christ, 1512 West Main St, Shelbyville at 6 p.m. and continuing on Monday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. This is a free seminar and open to the public.

First annual P.O.W. Ride  at Choctaw Jim’s (Exit 34 off I-71), 10564 Campbellsburg Rd, Campbellsburg. Starts at 9 a.m., live music, food, raffles, door prizes, merchandise and much more! Call 532-9975 or stop in for more information.

The Pleasureville School Alumni will hold their reunion from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Henry County Middle School, New Castle. The registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will have a buffet beginning at 1 p.m. The price is $16 per person. If you are a graduate or attended Pleasureville School, you are welcome to attend.

Monday, August 17

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting  at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.
