Wednesday, August 18

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public.

Free keyboarding class at the Henry County Public Library at 2:30 p.m.

Thursday, August 19

Free adult scrapbooking offered at the Eminence Community Life Center from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursdays.

The County Kickers Line Dancing group meets on Thursday nights at the Henry County Fairgrounds 4H Building in New Castle. Lessons are held for beginners from 6 to 7 p.m.  and advanced lessons follow from 7 to 8 p.m. There is a fee of $20 per year. The Henry County Parkinson Support Group will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Henry County Fairgrounds 4H Building. Phyiscal Therapist Teresa Rogers is the guest speaker and will offer tips and advice on working with Parkinson’s. Patients and their partners/caregivers are encouraged to visit the group and share information and fellowship. Call Joy Hay at (502) 396-4826 for details.

The CASA program of Oldham, Henry and Trimble Counties will be having an orientation night at 7 p.m. at Oldham County Farm Bureau in LaGrange (across from Tractor Supply). CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates is a non profit, nationwide program that advocates for abused and neglected children, involved through no fault of their own, in the Family Court system.

Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, August 19 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Campbellsburg State Police Post meeting room located at 160 Citation Lane just off I-71 exit in Campbellsburg. The public is invited to attend.

Third Thursday Family movie at the Henry County Library at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, August 20

Alcoholics Anonymous  meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet Sunday, August 22 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, August 24 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Saturday, August 21

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Sunday, August 22

Revival at Pleasureville United Methodist Church will be held through August 25 with guest speaker Rev. Don Hatton.

Monday, August 23

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting  at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.

 Henry County Adult Education ESL class at the Community Life Center in Eminence from 6 to 8 p.m. Contact Brandi Corbett at (502) 845-0307 for more information.

Grace Fellowship of LaGrange will hold midweek services at 6:30 p.m. in the Ramada Inn meeting room. These services will be held every Tuesday.

Senior Club from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Henry County Library. Games, fun and crafts for seniors.

Wednesday, August 25

Resume assistance at Henry County Library at 10:30 a.m.

Thursday, August 26

Dave Stahl, keyboardist and vocalist along with Freddy Helm, saxophonist, will entertain at Twin Oaks Assisted Living in New Castle for an hour long concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the main dining room. For more information, contact Courtney Smith, Twin Oaks Community Manager at (502) 845-7524.

Saturday, August 28

Summer Bash 2010 Music Festival will be held at Steel Tech Shooting Range from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. All proceeds will benefit Henry County Football. Tickets are $5 pre-sell and $7 at the gate. Family friendly, concessions, kids activities and much more. Music entertainment provided by Robby Cox, 13th Floor, and Silverwings Band.

Sunday, August 29

The Sutherland/Richmond reunion will be held from noon until late evening at the Butler Park Main Stone Shelter House in Carrollton. Bring a dish. All family and friends are invited.
