Community Calendar for the week of December 9, 2009

Wednesday, December 9

Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public.

Friday, December 11

Alcoholics Anonymous  meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet Sunday, December 13 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, December 15 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Saturday, December 12

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Sunday, December 13

The KY Cowboy Church will hold praise and worship services every Sunday at 6 p.m. For more information Call (502) 845-7897.

The Grief Support Group for people dealing with the loss of a loved one will meet at Henry Christian Church at 3 p.m.

Monday, December 14

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting  at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.

The County Kickers Line Dancing Group will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. on Mondays at the 4-H building at the Henry County Fairgrounds in New Castle. The group will be going back to the basics on Thursday evenings where you can join them for step by step instructions from 6 to 7 p.m. for beginner line dancing and advanced from 7 to 8 p.m. For more information contact Darlene Tipton at (502) 947-5160 or (502) 750-0954.

The Alateen “Together We Can Make It” group will meet at 8 p.m. at the Methodist Church.

Grace Fellowship of LaGrange will hold midweek services at 6:30 p.m. in the Ramada Inn meeting room. These services will be held every Tuesday.

Thursday, December 17

Parents with Voices support group will have a meet and greet meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Henry County Extension Office, 2151 Campbellsburg Rd, New Castle. Free childcare, dinner and gifts for families. The support group specializes in supporting families with a child or youth with an emotional, behavioral or social disability.
