Wednesday, July 14

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public.

Microsoft Word 2007 training at the Henry County Library at 10:30 am.

Thursday, July 15

Free adult scrapbooking offered at the Eminence Community Life Center from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursdays.

The Henry County Parkinson Support Group will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Henry County Fairgrounds 4H Building. Parkinson’s patients and their partners/caregivers are invited to attend. Call Joy Hay at (502) 396-4826 for more information.

Friday, July 16

Alcoholic’s Anonymous  meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet Sunday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, July 20 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Saturday, July 17

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Monday, July 19

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting  at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.

The County Kickers Line Dancing Group meets every Monday and Thursday at the Henry County Fairgrounds 4H Building in New Castle. Lessons are held both nights for beginners from 6 to 7 p.m. Advanced lessons follow from 7 to 8 p.m. There is a fee of $20 per year. Grace Fellowship of LaGrange will hold midweek services at 6:30 p.m. in the Ramada Inn meeting room. These services will be held every Tuesday.

New Castle Christian Church is hosting a “Superhero Boot Camp” for superheroes in training from Pre-K through 6th grade through July 29 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. There will also be a class for teenagers and adults. Come listen to speaker and author, Tommy Lanham present “Goals: 5 Simple Steps to Making Your Dreams Come True”.
