Wednesday, June 2

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public.

Eastern Elementary SBDM Council will meet at 4 p.m. in the school library.

Thursday, June 3

Free adult scrapbooking offered at the Eminence Community Life Center from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursdays.

Friday, June 4

Alcoholic’s Anonymous  meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet Sunday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, June 8 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Relay For Life Cookout at Campbellsburg Chiropractic from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Hamburgers/hot dogs, chips, Little Debbie snack and water, $5 per plate.  Call ahead for takeout orders at (502) 532-0099.

Saturday, June 5

AA meeting at 8 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall building. These meetings will be non smoking.

Campbellsburg Day will be held from 10:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parade starts at 10:45 a.m. Cornhole, food, fun, jumpies, games and more!

Monday, June 7

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting  at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.

The County Kickers Line Dancing Group meets every Monday and Thursday at the Henry County Fairgrounds 4H Building in New Castle. Lessons are held both nights for beginners from 6 to 7 p.m. Advanced lessons follow from 7 to 8 p.m. There is a fee of $20 per year. Grace Fellowship of LaGrange will hold midweek services at 6:30 p.m. in the Ramada Inn meeting room. These services will be held every Tuesday.

Henry County Retired Teachers picnic at New Castle Christian Church will be held at noon.

Wednesday, June 9

Union Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School through June 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  nightly.

Thursday, June 10

Relay For Life cookout from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Courthouse Lawn sponsored by the Henry County Government Team. Hamburgers, baked beans, slaw, chips, homemade desserts, drinks, $7 per plate.

Friday, June 11

Pleasureville Christian Church will have Son Harvest County Fair Vacation Bible School  through June 13. On Friday, supper is at 5:30 p.m. and VBS starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 12 VBS is from 9 a.m to 11:30 a.m. and a potluck lunch will be served immediately after and on Sunday, June 13 the VBS program will be held.

Saturday, June 12

The Shelbyville/Eminence KSU Alumni Chapter will host their annual scholarship fundraiser. The fashion show/luncheon will be held at the Stratton Center in Shelbyville, 215 Washington St, at 11:30 a.m. The local alumni chapter is trying to raise money to help send students to KSU this fall. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by calling either Evette Beasley (502) 633-0277 or Janice Harris (502) 633-4779.

Monday, June 14

The Shelby County Professional Women’s Club invites farmers and residents to attend an informational program at 6:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Farm Bureau office on Mt. Eden Rd, Shelbyville.  The presentation is about the Pork Industry and will cover various topics. Program is free, dinner cost $10.
