Wednesday, May 21

Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Community Library open to the public from 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

Thursday, May 22

TOPS 298 will meet at Orville Baptist Church. Weigh in 4:30 p.m. and meeting at 5 p.m. New members welcome.

There will be a local emergency planning meeting at the Pleasureville City Hall at noon. Officers only.

Friday, May 23

Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. The group will also meet Sunday, May 25 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

The KY Cowboy Church will hold praise and worship services every Friday at 7 p.m. at Grubridge Church.

Saturday, May 24

The Henry County Saddle Club will have an all breed horse show at the Henry Co. Ag Pavilion. Sign ups at 4 p.m. and show starts at 5 p.m. Contact Henry Taylor at 667-0997 or Nina Heightchew at (502) 845-7073.

Sunday, May 25

The Henry County Saddle Club will have an All Trail Show at the Henry County Ag Pavilion. Sign ups at 1 p.m. with show starting at 2 p.m. Contact Cara Leach at cara.leach@insightbb.com.

Monday, May 26

A new Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting will be held on Mondays at 11 a.m. at New Castle Christian Church. Please enter through the green door.

The 9th Annual Jonathan Adams Memorial Run/Walk will be held starting at Eminence’s pool parking lot. The one-mile walk will start at 9 a.m., followed by a 5K run at around 9:30. The cost for participation is $10, and t-shirts will be given to the first 100 registered. There will also be door prizes that are supplied by many area businesses that sponsor the event each year. Proceeds go towards the Crusade for Children.

Tuesday, May 27

The Alateen “Together We Can Make It” group will meet at 8 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Eminence.

Adult Education and GED classes offered at the Wendy Hills Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call 845-0307.

The KY Cowboy Church will be holding Bible study every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Grubridge Community Church.

Community Blood Drive at Providence Baptist Church, 51 Louden Lane, Campbellsburg from 2 to 7 p.m. All presenting donors will receive an American Red Cross umbrella.

CASA Advisory Council meeting at 5 p.m. at Oldham County Farm Bureau building.

Thursday, May 29

Cemetery Hill Church of Christ will hold a meeting through May 31 at 7:30 each evening. Bro. Gary Fisher from Clarksville, Indiana will be the speaker. He will also hold Sunday services.

Saturday, May 31

Remember Me 2008 St. Jude Fundraiser will be held beginning at 9 a.m. with a balloon release at Campbellsburg Elementary School, followed by a benefit concert beside Hale’s Barber Shop at 6 p.m. that evening. Fore more information contact Brittany or Libby at (502) 465-0033.
