Wednesday, October 22

Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Also, the community library at the church is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Thursday, October 23

TOPS 298 will meet at Orville Baptist Church. Weigh in 4:30 p.m. and meeting at 5 p.m. New members welcome.

Friday, October 24

Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. The group will also meet Sunday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.

A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence.

Benefit dance for Sue Kemper who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer at Sixmile Jamboree. Music provided by The Boomerang Band from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Admission is $6. For more information call (502) 878-2801 or 930-1276.

The Alateen “Together We Can Make It” group will meet at 8 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Eminence.

Friday, October 31

The EHS 2009 Project Prom committee is having a haunted trail ride/walk from 8 to 10 p.m. at 285 Spring Hill Estates. A $5 donation includes admission and a hot dog, soft drink, chips and a Little Debbie Cake.

Saturday, November 1

Something for everyone’s budget at the 16th annual Extension Holiday Bazaar at the 4H Building at the fairgrounds featuring over 30 booths with arts, crafts, goodies and gift ideas. Henry County Senior Citizens will be serving lunch. Bazaar hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
