In a special called meeting Thursday, Oct. 25, the Eminence City Council adjusted an ordinance that would permit liquor by the drink sales in the city. The second and final reading of the ordinance could be held in November.
The council omitted, however, a provision that would have required businesses who sell alcohol to participate in the STAR program.
Council member Shawn Bright said he'd received several calls about the possibility of requiring STAR training.
