Eminence is a wonderful, caring community

-A A +A

I would like to give a shout out for

 this wonderful community of Eminence.

Our son Briar Rucker, 4 years old, was diagnosed with a rare brain cyst in August 2011.

In January, he had a surgery which was unsuccessful. He will have a second surgery in a couple of weeks. This community has come to pray for our family as well as helped us through donations.

We would give a special thank you to Sheresa Griffin who set up a benefit for Briar. We also would like to thank Scriber’s Station for holding the benefit, and Silverwings band for playing and donating all proceeds.

Thank you to all businesses and individuals that donated items for the silent auction.

This was a great success and has helped our family so much.

I would like to give a special thanks to Chat & Nibble, a place that has brought so many wonderful people into my life. Tom and Alice Ferguson, Toni, Jeffery and Brianna Moore; Kristy Clark; Theresa Griffin; Ellen Moore; Nanaw; Angels; Lou Lou and all the wonderful customers I have come to know as family.

Because of Chat & Nibble, we have a great support system. Thank each and every one of you that’s prayed, donated and thought of us during our time of great need. I truly am blessed, as well as our family, to have you all in our lives. I love and miss you all so much.

A special thank you to Sarah and Frank Floyd; Dennis Sharon; Annie Valentine; Chef Eric Clippert; Mike Whalen; and Matt and Melanie Whalen. Without your love and support, our lives would be much more difficult. A thank you to Bedford Head Start.

May God bless you all as you have our family. You are foerever in our hearts and prayers. Thank you, heart and soul.

Shannon and John Rucker
