Residents can buy flowers, plants at HCHS greenhouse

By Cindy DiFazio

Staff writer/photographer

Waves and waves of color welcome visitors to the Henry County High School greenhouse, and all that color is for sale.

Agriculture teacher Lindsey Cottrell said sales were slow in the beginning. “We started off in quite a bit of a hole,” she said. “It (the greenhouse) takes a lot of money to run.”

Pointing out ferns and flowers dangling in baskets overhead, Cottrell said hanging basket purchases improved sales last week.
