There’s a new horse in town, and you can find it at 4872 North Main Street, No. 2, in Eminence.
Anthony Story recently opened Steelhorse Cycle and ATV Repair in what used to be the Brownings Service Department. Steelhorse offers service work and apparel. Story said he’ll be able to perform just about any type of service work, but will not do fabrication work.
“We’ll provide service for motorcycles and ATVs, oil changes, tune-ups and what not,” Story said. But in addition to that, Story has saddle bags, jackets and more for sale. He also will be a Kurakyn dealer. “I’ll be stocking chrome items for Harley and metric cruisers,” he said.
A retired state employee, Story said he was tired of “sitting at home,” and decided to open up shop doing something he loved.
“I enjoy working on motorcycles, and riding them,” he said. “I’ve always worked on my own and friends’ bikes.”
Story’s son Andrew also helps with the business that could be the only motorcycle and ATV specific business within the county. “Shelbyville’s the closest place to get an oil change,” Story said. “I hope to be able to service everybody around here. If there’s something they need that I don’t have, I can get it. I might have to order it, but I can get it.”
Story said as a former corrections officer, he’ll offer corrections employees a 10 percent discount on all in stock items.
Steelhorse can be reached at 845-8330, and is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
