Eminence Head Start operators recently said more than $4,200 in grants recently were used to upgrade the program's facilities. Nancy Shinault, child development specialist for the Early Head Start/Full-Day Full-Year Head Start program said the money was used to purchase materials and other furnishings, which will enhance the classroom environment for the program's 40 students. It will also help provide additional learning experiences for the children, she said.
