Alex Hadden and Isaac Klempner finished the Mussleman-Dunne Junior Golf Tour in the Tour Championship at Big Springs Country Club in Louisville with a first and third place finish respectively, July 14 and 15.
Hadden shot a 40 on the first day to trail Daniel Love by two strokes while Klempner shot 41.
Hadden came back with a 38 on the second while Davis had a 42. Hadden’s two-day total of 78 was good for a two-stroke victory over Love. Klempner shot 43 on the second day to finish tied for third with Hudson Hummel.
Hadden’s victory left him with a total of 2,650 points in the player of the year standings, which earned him the top spot in the 11-12 age division. Hadden finished with 700 points more than runner-up Love.
Hadden won eight of the ten tournaments that he entered on the tour this summer. He finished second in the other two tournaments.
Hadden has also played in seven events on the Ky. PGA Junior Tour where he has won six times and placed third once. He leads the points standings in that Tour as well.
Klempner’s performance moved him up from fifth to fourth place in the final standings with 1,375 points. Klempner had four second-place finishes and two third-place finishes in ten events on the tour.
Klempner has played in one Ky. PGA Junior Tour event and finished fifth.
The two rising seventh-graders will soon start their third season with the Henry County High School team.
