The Henry County Public School district will hold a public hearing at the Henry County Board of Education tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. to hear comments on a general fund tax levy. The annual increase provides a four percent raise in revenue for schools.
Superintendent Tim Abrams said contrary to some public perception this is not a four percent tax increase.
“An average property value in Henry County is $80-90 thousand,” he said. “It means less than $25 per year for the average taxpayer.”
