Henry can't four-peat as Trimble sends Cats home early

For the first time in nearly four years, the Henry County Ladycats did not hold up the championship trophy of the North Central Kentucky Conference following the final contest of the seven-team, single-elimination style tournament.

Henry — who won the NCKC in 2005, 2006 and 2007 — was defeated by Trimble County (7-6) last Wednesday in the semifinals, which left the Ladycats empty handed. Meanwhile, Trimble defeated Walton-Verona (5-2) in the finals to claim the title.
