Henry County High School's double header against Owen County scheduled for Friday night has been moved to Saturday due to the weather, HCHS Athletics Director Todd Gilley said.

The icy road conditions closed Henry County Public Schools both Thursday and Friday and pushed the anticipated showdown back one day. Saturday's games will keep the same scheduled starting times with the boys' game playing at 6 p.m. and the girls' game playing at 7:30 p.m. at Roy L. Winchester Gym. There will also be two junior varsity games being played at the same time in the smaller gym, Gilley said.

Owen County is in Henry's 31st District with the contest counting towards district seeding. The Henry boys beat Owen, 44-41, on Dec. 18. The Wildcats currently have an 8-7 overall record; Owen is 8-4.

Meanwhile, the Henry girls defeated Owen, 51-49, on Dec. 18 in a nail-bitter. The Ladycats are 6-7 overall; Owen is 9-5.
