Eight Henry County teens participated in the UK College of Agriculture Prospective Student Roundup on Sept. 5.

Those in attendance were: Ashley Craigmyle, Haley Spencer, Brook Mahoney, Alex Beckley, Shayna Jeffries, Nacona Jeffries, Austin Payton, and Justin Yount.

The students registered for tours of programs within the college. During the event prospective students meet with professors and were able to ask them questions about different fields of study.

The UK Ag Ambassadors were also on hand to help with the tours and to answer lots of questions that the group had from dorm life to parking, to athletic events. The students were given materials to help them with registration and scholarship deadlines for the university.

Students were encouraged to explore the table top displays in the ES Good Barn that were manned by students and staff to show the diverseness of degrees within the college.

While the day was designed to help answer questions it also seemed to raise many more. The college offers so many different areas to go into agriculture and human environmental sciences that it’s often hard to come to a decision.

If you or someone you know would like more information on how to become a UK Wildcat I encourage you to take a trip to the campus and spend the day there. UK has a lot to offer.
