Campbellsburg 26, Pleasureville 0: The Campbellsburg Bengals improved to a perfect 7-0 on Saturday with a 26-0 shutout win over the Pleasureville Colts in the varsity division of the Henry County Youth Football League.
The Bengals got on the board on the first possession with a 5-yard touchdown run by Tyler Robbins. Robbins added the extra point run. Seth Allgeier got in the end zone on a 6-yard TD run and also added the run conversion to make it 14-0. Robbins added another TD run of 4 yards to put the Bengals up 20-0 at the half. To start the second half, the Bengals defense came up with a fumble recovery and four plays later Devin McIntosh ran in from 5 yards out for the TD to make the score 26-0.
Bodie Clark led the Bengals with 108 yds rushing. The defense was led by Ryan Abney with six tackles and one fumble recovery. Clark, Robbins, Cameron Johnson, Timothy Haag, Noah Foree and DJ Aneszko had four tackles each. Aneszko also had a sack. Joseph Fischer had two tackles and a fumble recovery.
Campbellsburg 32, Pleasureville 0: The Campbellsburg Bengals also had a shutout win over the Pleasureville Colts, 32-0, in the HCYFL junior varsity division on Saturday.
The Bengals offense was led by Brandon Tindle with 140 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Trey Purvis added 74 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Landon Morgan finished with 113 yards rushing. Zack Foree had 56 yards rushing, a touchdown and a pass to Justin Edens for a 2-point conversion. The Bengals defense was led by Morgan with 12 tackles. The other Bengals tackle leaders were Trey Purvis with nine, Clayton Sutherland with seven, PJ Steffen with six, Chance Morris, Tyler Boyer and Brandon Tindle with five each, Justin Edens and Kevin Foree with four each, and Brandon Ross with three.
