Henry County has been largely spared from the heroin use and abuse that’s gripping other areas of Kentucky so far, according to local law enforcement and court officials. But they also see the demand for heroin increasing in the county.
Senator Mitch McConnell brought national attention to Kentucky’s problem May 15 when he testified before the Senate Drug Caucus. At that hearing, he called the counties of Kenton, Boone and Campbell, “the very epicenter of heroin addiction in Kentucky and in the nation.”
