Here lately everyone has been talking about Global Warming. A lot of celebrities come out and say we all need to do our part. So how can you do your part to help global warming? You can start by eating less meat. Yes, it's true. This works by reducing the amount of livestock that then decreases the amount of methane flatulence from the animals. Scientists now say cutting 10 percent of red meant would cut the gasses emitted by cows, sheep and goats that contribute to global warming. We typically eat 224 grams of meat a day and in China they have doubled their amount of intake since a decade ago. With the demand for meat increasing around the world that could mean more gases like methane and nitrous oxide heating up the earth. I feel that everyone should cut back on eating a lot of red meats. Not only would we be helping our diet and becoming healthy but we would also be helping the environment. We are killing the earth and knowing that there is something everyone can do about it makes me wonder if people care enough. It may not sound like a lot but if you think about it we could make a difference by one simple step. We all need to do our part to change global warming even if that means to eat less meat.
