KSP charge 3 w/ making meth

Kentucky State Troopers Barrett Brewer and Brodie Jodry went to serve a warrant on Brandon C. Price, 20, for fourth degree assault, domestic violence, minor injury at Sandra Jones’ resident on Chilton Court.

According to Brewer, Jason R. Stephens, 34, answered the door and told the officers everyone in the house was asleep.

Troopers notified the homeowner Sandra Jones they had received complaints that the group including Shelbie Brown, 20, had been cooking meth. Jones allowed the officers to search the house.

Brewer said the trooper found used bottles for meth production in a large crawl space in the basement, lithium strips, cut up lithium batteries, lighter fluid and a burnt glass pipe inside a baby diaper bag. Troopers also found burnt aluminum strips, nine marijuana joints and approximately another gram of marijuana in a plastic baggie.

Stephens, Price and Brown were charged with 1st degree manufacturing of methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance and endangerment to a child.

Price and Stephens were transported to Carroll County Detention Center and Brown was transported to Shelby County Detention Center.

Shelbie Brown’s child was taken to a relative.
