The Kentucky Storm semi-professional football team held their first practice recently at Harry Hill Park.
The team went through combine testing to measure their strength and speed through a variety of exercises.
Coach Richard Smith was pleased with turnout and the results. “We had guys from Henry, Eminence, Shelby, Oldham, Owen, Carroll, Trinity, Central and Butler,” he said. “I was pleased with the turnout and effort for the first practice.”
The team will be practicing at Harry Hill Park on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons in preparation for their opening game in the Kentucky Football League against the Owensboro Wildcats on June 1. The Storm will host their second game at Daniels Field in Shelbyville on June 8.
