Arts & Crafts

Free adult scrapbooking offered at the Eminence Community Life Center from 10 a.m. to noon, on Thursdays.

Blood Drive
Blood Drive at New Castle Christian Church, 260 S. Main St, New Castle, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 28.

Church Services
Elmburg Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School Monday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Contact Elaine Taylor at (502) 461-7501 for more information.
Port Royal Baptist Church will have vacation Bible school beginning July 11 through July 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly.

Drennon Christian Church hosts The Andy Griffith Bible Study at 6 p.m., every Wednesday. Come join for dinner, fun and a laid back Bible Study.
Grace Fellowship of La Grange will hold midweek services at 6:30 p.m., every Tuesday, in the Ramada Inn meeting room.
New Castle Christian Church’s Adventure Club for Kids meets every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Children through the 5th grade are invited to participate  in this fun and creative learning group.

Civic Organizations
Eminence Rotary Club meets at noon at the Henry Christian Church (summer only) every Monday.
The New Castle Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Marlene’s Cozy Corner Restaurant in New Castle.

Community Services
Low cost spay/neuter clinics for dogs, cats and rabbits to be held at the Humane Society of Oldham County in La Grange on Saturday, June 25. All animals must be pre-registered. Call (502) 222-7537 to register.
CASA Advisory Council Meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, in the La Grange office - KY Farm Bureau bldg (in back).
The mobile food pantry visits Henry County from 3-6 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The gates at the Henry County Fairgrounds open at 2:45 p.m. Please bring ID or recent mail to confirm address — must live in Henry County.
Bundle up your newspapers, aluminum, plastics, etc., and take to County Road Barn at 714 Property Road, 7 days a week.

Education
Eastern Elementary SBDM Counil will meet at 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, in the school library.

Farmers Market
Henry County Farmers Market is open for the season and runs through the end of October, Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings at the Henry County Courthouse.

Health & Fitness
Fight the effects of gravity and weak postural muscles with Bones for Life! Build core muscles and bone density, stand taller and move with more grace. Henry County Republican Party — 7 p.m., 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the Henry County Board of Education Building.

Relay for Life
Henry County Relay For Life will be held with opening ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. at the Henry County High School track on Friday June 24. Music by Six Miles South and Silverwings, luminary ceremony, food, drinks, activities and much more!

Support Groups
Alcoholics Anonymous meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church on Friday, June 24. This group, along with Al-Anon, will also meet at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 26, at Henry County Public Library; and at 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking.
A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, at First Baptist Church, Eminence.
AA meeting at 8 p.m. at Pleasureville Methodist Church on Saturday, June 25. These meetings will be non smoking.
Alcoholics Anonymous meeting  at 11 a.m., Monday, June 27, at New Castle Christian Church.  Please enter through the green door.
Caregiver support group will meet at 5:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month, for people taking care of someone with dementia or Alzheimers. Call 1-877-224-1349, ext 140 for info.
