The Mustangs, coached by Randy Berry, played in their second tournament of the year at the Greater Midwest Baseball Bluegrass Bash in Elizabethtown.
The Mustangs were the only Kentucky team in the 10-team event. There were teams from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia and Indiana.
The Mustangs first game was against the Michigan Storm and Jaydon Berry pitched and won 5-3.
The Mustangs next played the J-Cards from Jasper Indiana and won 11-0. Seth Hicks and Buddy Crisp shared pitching duties for the win.
Jaydon Berry pitched the first game on Sunday against the Ohio Heat National team and won 9-3.
The Mustangs played the Ohio Valley Vipers from Illinois in the championship game. The game was a close one with the Mustangs winning 6-5.
Andrew Emberton pitched five innings and Bobby Crisp pitched the next 1 2/3 innings. Crisp got into trouble in the last inning and loaded the bases with two outs. Jaydon Berry came in and got the last out to get the save and help the Mustangs win the tournament.
