New Castle Spring Fling is on its way

Plans are currently underway for the 26th Annual New Castle Spring Fling. It is always the second Saturday in June. This years date is Saturday, June 14. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Spring Fling is an annual reunion for many people who only see each other very few times a year. It is also a day that people come from far and near to a county festival.

This year's Spring Fling will have some things that are regulars and some new events. The Spring Fling will have arts and crafts, flea markets, food booths, parade, live entertainment, farmer's market, street dance, citywide yard sales, and children's activities.

New this year at the Spring Fling will be the return of Children's Beauty Pageants. Details are still being worked out at this time. As the committee works out the details of the pageants, we will let everyone know.

This year the parade will line up and begin at a new location. The parade will line up and begin at New Castle Elementary School. The parade will still have floats, beauty pageant queens, civic clubs, antique tractors, businesses, etc.
