Fall Fling pageants

As part of the 9th Annual New Castle Fall Fling Sat., Oct. 4, we will have many pageants. The pageants will be on the courthouse steps. You must pre-register Aug. 25, 27-30 to be in the pageants. It will cost $5 per child to register. The child must be a resident of Henry County. There will be no judges. Whoever has the most five-cent votes will win.

The age categories are as follows; Fall Fling Tiny Tots — newborn to 24 months, Cutie Pie — 25 months to 4 years, Little Prince and Princess — 5-7 years old, Little Mr. and Miss Fall Fling — 8-10 years old.

You must have your child pre-registered. You can pre-register at Pearce Homestead Crafts and Gifts, 122 S. Main St., New Castle, on the following dates; 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., August 25, 27-29; and 9 a.m. to noon, Sat., Aug. 30.

“Celebration of Life”

A “Celebration of Life” event will be held in honor of Brandon Browning on Sunday, September 7 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall. Celebrate with family and friends in remembering Brandon as he has helped saved the lives of three individuals by being an organ donor. Meet two of the three people that received his organs and join in celebrating the lives he saved.
