“Celebration of Life”

A “Celebration of Life” event will be held in honor of Brandon Browning on Sunday, September 7 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasureville City Hall. Celebrate with family and friends in remembering Brandon as he has helped saved the lives of three individuals by being an organ donor. Meet two of the three people that received his organs and join in celebrating the lives he saved. Smith becomes consultant with tastefully simple

Linda Smith of Eminence has become an independent consultant with Tastefully Simple, Inc., a national direct-sales company featuring easy to prepare gourmet products.

Benefit for Lou Gehrigs Disease

A benefit for the ALS Association of Kentucky will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 20 at Captain Cove, located at 144 Captain Cove Dr., in Taylorsville. Join in celebrating the life and memory of Dennis Faulkner at this benefit. There will be a cornhole tournament starting at noon (registration by 11 a.m.). There will be music all day by DJ Rick Faulkner and J.D. Shelburne will be performing. There will be a silent auction with many items including a Bona Allen English saddle, UK football tickets, a Lou Gehrig Louisville Slugger jersey, a truckload of topsoil and many theme baskets. There will be many children’s games and several raffles including a raffle for a registered baby miniature horse and an 18 month old registered Appaloosa stallion. Make plans now to spend the day. Its guaranteed to be a fun day for all and a great way to help fight this incurable disease.
