Most would consider it out of the ordinary, to say the least, for a woman like me, who was having children 40 years ago, to be pregnant today. But someone, or someone’s database, is convinced that I am expecting.
In today’s mail, there was yet another maternity flyer from Proctor and Gamble with my name on it. This latest advertisement features a very pregnant woman on the cover while inside there are – I should say “were” since I promptly threw it into the wastebasket – tips on how to prepare for a new baby (presumably mine), as well as suggestions on easing the transition from hospital to home. The back of the self-mailer included two pages of coupons for items such as Dreft, Baby Wipes, and Pampers.
