Ryan C. Simpson, 26, of La Grange was indicted for 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he possessed a forged check (No. 1524) in the amount of $160, drawn on the account of Michelle Balint, with knowledge that it was forged and with the intent to defraud, deceive and injure another.

Carl D. Downey Jr., 24, of Bedford, was indicted for 2nd degree TICS, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, by distributing, selling, or transferring, or possessing with intent to distribute, sell or transfer Hydrocodonne, a Schedule III narcotic.

Kevin R. Funk, 36, Milton, was indicted for 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he possessed a forged check (No. 9102) in the amount of $500, drawn on the account of Anna Katherine Hoskins, at Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank, with the knowledge that it was forged and with the intent to defraud, deceive and injure another.

Austin Ballard, 19, Bedford was indicted for 2nd degree burglary, a class C felony punishable by five to 10 years imprisonment in the state penitentiary, and/or a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, while in the course of committing a theft at 4090 Sunnyside Road in Smithfield, he used physical force upon Marshall Brabb, with intent to accomplish the theft. Count 2: Ballard also was indicted for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when belieiving that an official proceeding was pending or may be initiated, he destroyed, mutilated, concealed, removed or altered physical evidence, which he bleieved was about to be used or introduced in the official proceeding.

Jason S. Spratlin, 40, was indicted for 4 counts of 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, all class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he possessed forged checks (Nos. 1289, 1290, 1291, and 1299) for a total amount of $435 drawn on the account of Jimmie Spratlin, with knowledge that it was forged and with the intent to defraud, deceive and injure another.

Adam Bedingfield, 22, Louisville,  was indicted for 1st degree POCS, 1st offense, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he knowingly and unlawfully possessed oxymorphone, a schedule II narcotic. Count 2: Bedingfield also was indicted for possession of drug paraphernlia, a class A misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for up to 12 months and/or a fine of up to $500, when he had in his possession objects used, inteded for use, or designed for use in ingesting, inhailing, orotherwise introducing controlled substances into the human body. Count 3: Bedingfield was indicted for speeding, a violation, when he operated a motor vehicle at a greater speed than is reasonable and prudent.

Mark J. Creed, 32, Dixon, Tenn., was indicted for failure to report change in order to receive benefits, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he knowingly made false statemetns or misrepresentation, or knowingly failed to disclose a material fact to prevent or reduce the payment of food stamps.

Michael Shaw, 28, Lockport, was indicted for leaving the scene of an accident/failrue to render aid with death or serious physical injury, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he was the operator of a motor vehicle which was involved in an accidnet resulting in injury or death of any person, he failed to ascertain the extent of injury, namely the seriosu physical injury to James A. Clark.

Candy Clark, 37, of Greensburg was indicted for 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when she possessed a forged check (No 1127) in the amount of $67.12, drawn on the account of William Pyron, with knowledge that it was forged and with the intent to defraud, deceive and injure another. Count 2: Clark also was indicted as a 1st degree persistent felony offender, in part because on 11/5/05, she was convicted in Henry Circuit Court of 2 counts of 2nd degree CPFI and sentenced to 2 years with the DOC; and on 11/22/05, she was convicted in Henry Court Court of TBUT over $300, and sentenced to 2 years with the DOC; and on 3/27/12, she was convicted in Adair Circuit Court of 3 counts of false statement/misrepresent to receive benefits over $100, and sentenced to 3 years with the DOC and on 7/6/11, she was indicted in Green Circuit Court for facilitation to unlawful distribution of methamphetamine precursor and sentednced to 2 yeeas with the DOC; and on 7/5/11, she was convicted in Green Circuit Court of facilitation to engaging in organized crime -criiminal syndicate and sentenced to 2 years with the DOC, and on 7/6/11 she was convicted in Green Circuit Court of 2nd degree CPFI and sentenced to 2 years with the DOC.

Steven E. Mays, 33, of La Grange, was indicted for 2 counts of  1st degree criminal msichief, both class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when having no right to do so or any reasonable ground to believe that he had such right, he intentioanlly or wantonly defaced, destroyed or damanged property belonging to Miranda Hawkins, causing pecuniary loss of $1,000 or more. Count 2: criminal attempt to commit 2nd degree burglary, a class A misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for up to 12 months and/or a fine of up to $500, when, acting with the kind of culpability otherwise required for commision of burglary in the second degree he intentionally engaged in conduct that would constitute burglary in the second degree if the circumstances were as he beliveed them to be when, with the intent to commit a crime, he knowingly attempted to enter or remain unlawfully in a dwelling at 21 Spring Street, New Castle.

Brian S. Nation, 33, of Eminence, was indicted for 1st degree POCS, 1st offense, a class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000, when he knowingly and unlawfully possessed methamphetamine, a controlled substance. Count 2: Nation was indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for up to 12 months and/or a fine of up to $500, when he had in his possession objects used, intedned for use, or designed for use in ingesting, inhailing or otherwise introducing controlled substances into the human body.

Keegan Berry, 24, Campbellsburg, was indicted for 2 counts of 2nd degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, when, with knowledge they were forged and with intent to defraud, deceiving or injure another, he had in his possession a forged instrument which, when completed, purported to be check nos. 1054 and 1056  for a total of $1,552, on the account of John M. Berry Jr., drawn on the First Farmers Bank.
