The Shelby County Rockets scored four runs in the first inning, 16 in a big second, then added nine more in the third and two in the fourth for a dominating 31-0 performance over Eminence in the opening round of the 30th District tournament.

Monday’s convincing win advanced Shelby to the district finals this Wednesday against either host Spencer County or Anderson County, while Eminence ended its season at 3-17 with its final chapter written to a disappointing year.
