Rowlett reelected to DFA Board

-A A +A

Terry Rowlett, a dairy farmer from Campbellsburg, has been re-elected to serve on Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.’s Board of Directors, representing the cooperative’s Mideast Area. He will serve a two-year term.

In a family partnership with his wife and sister, Rowlett milks 120 cows and raises corn silage, grain, tobacco and grass hay on more than 600 acres.

Rowlett is president of the Henry County Farm Bureau, state director of the Kentucky Farm Bureau, a member of the board of directors for the American Dairy Association of Kentucky and the Southeast United Dairy Industry Association, and associate director of the Kentucky Dairy Development Council. He also is an advisor for the Kentucky Milk Commission and a commissioner and secretary on the Henry County Planning and Zoning board.

DFA’s grassroots structure ensures grassroots representation and leadership by the dairy farmer owner-members of the organization. Leaders are elected by members from each of DFA’s seven regional Areas for positions at the local district level, on Area Councils and for the national 51-member dairy producer Board. These elected leaders are responsible for guiding management and establishing the policies and business direction of the Cooperative.
