Please join us at Henry County High School on May 14 and May 15 for our Senior Service Showcase, a celebration and recognition of the efforts and achievements of our seniors this year as they have raised awareness and/or donations for their self-selected causes and organizations. You will be inspired and amazed at what they have been able to accomplish, together.
Each group will present a digital documentary depicting their group’s journey – successes, yes, but also struggles—as they’ve worked together with the help of Social Media to collaborate with one another and to reach a national and global audience. Presentations are scheduled simultaneously, with each group’s presentation taking approximately 20 minutes. You are welcome to come for just one or to stay for them all!
Immediately following each digital presentation, the presenters will direct you to the Media Center, where you can view the group’s Senior Service Board, pick up informational take-home materials, and have some light refreshments. While there, we ask that you complete a short Feedback Form for any/all groups you observed to provide some constructive feedback on their digital documentaries, presentational skills, and display boards.
Groups presenting on May 14 include: Henry County Breast Cancer Awareness & HCHS Diabetes (4:30 to 4:50 p.m.), Active Autism and HC Animal Awareness (5 to 5:20 p.m.). On May 15, the following groups will present: Homelessness Awareness and Youth Empowerment (4:30 to 4:50 p.m.), Handicap Accessibility and Helping Hands for Troubled Youth (5 to 5:20 p.m.), Socks 4 Seniors and Henry County Conquering Child Hunger (5:30 to 5:50 p.m.).
