Kelcey Stivers placed in the top 10 state finalists out of 120 girls at the pageant this summer.
The National Pageant conducted in Anaheim, Calif., at Disneyland during Thanksgiving week. She represented Texas and had the opportunity to win her share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes.
Stivers’ additional activities and awards include receiving the President’s Award for Academic Excellence (2012) for maintaining all A’s over a three-year period, winning the Most Highly Commended Award for her short story in the Winning Writers Competition (2012), going on mission trips with her youth group at Preston Ridge Baptist Church, playing soccer, writing, and singing. Kelcey is currently a freshman at Heritage High School in Frisco, where she is taking all pre-AP classes.
Kelcey is the daughter of Stacey and Kelly Stivers of Frisco and the granddaughter of Billy Joe and Betsy Stivers of Pleasureville, and Gail Nance and the late Gerald Nance of Madisonville.
