I would like to thank everyone for coming to the 26th Annual New Castle Spring Fling on Sat., June 14. The Spring Fling was another success!

I would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for helping the 26th Annual New Castle Spring Fling — Hometown Pizza Eminence, Prewitt Funeral Home, the Flower Box, Pleasureville Florist, Hugh McBurney, Colton Thomas, Vickie Thomas, Amy Hughes, Betty Chilton, Brigham Mahoney, Tara Savage, Jody Savage, Justin Oller, John Burgin, LaGrange Wal-Mart, New Castle City employees, Henry County Judge Executive’s Office, Henry County Sheriffs Department, Kentucky State Police, New Castle Elementary School, Tiny Tot Pageant contestants, all parade units and drivers, all vendors, Henry County Local, Froggy 104.9, WHAS- 11, the Courier Journal, and the Roundabout.

I would like to thank the following bands for keeping us entertained throughout the day — Bluesneck, Unfinished, Silverwings and the Black Diamond Band.

I would like to thank our 2008 sponsors. Without them we would not be able to host any of the festivals in New Castle. Baptist Hospital Northeast, Pearce Homestead Crafts & Gifts, Wildcat Tractor Company, Shelby Energy Co-op, CT & Open MRI of La Grange, Dairy Queen of Eminence, Sholar Funeral Home, Ohio Valley Asphalt LLC, Make A Memory, My Cottage Web Studio, Morris Insurance Agency. So please remember to shop with the above businesses and tell them thank you for helping our community.

I want to say a special thank you to everyone on the New Castle Festivals Committee. They know who they are. They are really dedicated to the festivals committee with us doing three festivals a year.

If I left anyone’s name off the list I apologize deeply and really appreciate your help.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the ninth Annual New Castle Fall Fling on Saturday, October 4, and Light Up New Castle Friday, December 5.
