For a few years I was always eager to help with town days and benefits here in Henry County just because I enjoyed doing them. A few months ago the tables turned, my mother was diagnosed for the second time with breast cancer. Never the kind of news anyone wants to receive! I knew money had been tight and now I knew it would just get worse. I decided to ask my friends and family to help. I called the Buckskins Band and asked if they would play for a benefit to help with the never ending medical expenses that were adding up by playing a benefit dance.
