Thanks to local support, exercise was a success

The full scale exercise at Safety-Kleen on Oct. 4 was very successful and involved all emergency personnel including Fire/Rescue departments, EMS, Sheriff’s Office, KSP and Coroner’s office with employees of the plant acting as victims of an explosion. We also had an excellent exercise at Homestead Nursing Center on June 21 which simulated a boiler explosion and also involved Fire/Rescue, EMS and Henry County Sheriff’s office in the evacuation of residents and staff of that facility. Both events had good media coverage by the Henry County Local.
