Thanks to the teams that helped clean up Henry County roadways

Approximately 400 people turned out Saturday morning, Nov. 1, to assist with Henry County’s annual roadside litter clean up. Working under the direction of Henry County Solid Waste Department, residents cleaned more than 200 miles of Henry County roads. Throughout the day, the teams worked diligently, picking up over 1,339 bags of trash and overflowing two large dumpsters. The County would like to thank these 26 teams for their assistance: Campbellsburg Fire Department, EHS Cheerleaders, EHS Softball, EM Boy’s Basketball, EM Odyssey of the Mind, EMS Cheerleaders, Franklinton Baptist Church, Girl Scouts Troop 372, Harvest Community Church, HC Cross Country, HC Historical Society, HCHS Girls Golf, HCHS Baseball, HCHS Boy’s Basketball, HCHS Environmental/Gaming Club, HCHS Girl’s Basketball, HCHS Softball, HCMS Boy’s Basketball, Henry County Rod and Gun Club, Henry County NCKC Basketball, National Honor Society, NC Boys Scouts Troop 421, New Castle Fire Department, Providence Baptist Church, Pleasureville Christian Church and Point Pleasant Christian.

Henry County is a beautiful place to live. Through the efforts of these 26 teams, our roadsides are cleaner. Please take pride in keeping Henry County clean.
