Virus-borne illness makes a resurgence in Kentucky

It may be the mumps!
Last week, three students at the University of Kentucky were diagnosed with mumps, a contagious virus whose tell-tale symptom is swelling near the neck and jaw.  
Although the overwhelming majority of people who get mumps recover completely, it’s important to know the signs of the virus and what to do if you think you have it.  
UK Health Care has shared some information on this outbreak with us.
What is mumps?  Mumps is an illness caused by the mumps virus.
