I am writing this letter in support of my good friend Stewart Gritton, Democratic candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture.
As a life-long resident of Anderson County, Stewart has dedicated his life to Kentucky agriculture. Stewart was a full-time dairy and tobacco farmer for over 20 years. He later went on to work for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for over 15 years, where he worked closely with each county fair in the state as the County Fair Coordinator. Also in his time with KDA, he organized district livestock shows and coordinated the KDA Scholarship Awards Program to promote youth in agriculture. In 2000, Stewart was recognized for his hard work in the county fair system and was elected president of the National Association of Fair Agencies.
Locally, Stewart has served many roles in support of agriculture. He has served as a director and immediate past president for the Anderson County Farm Bureau, district supervisor for the Anderson County Soil Conservation Board for over 16 years, member and former president of Anderson County Cattlemen Association, two terms on Anderson County Fiscal Court, and former president of Anderson County DHIA.
It is long overdue that we elect a person to lead Kentucky’s agriculture industry that has true farming experience and leadership. We need a person that will go to work each and every day to advocate for the Kentucky Farmer.
This person is Stewart Gritton.
On May 17, I ask you to support Stewart with your vote.
