You can meet these new members as well as many of our chamber businesses at the First Business Expo on May 11 at the Highland Renaissance Fairegrounds from 11-3.
The public is invited to visit with our good Henry County businesses and perhaps win a Kindle if you visit all of them and get your program stamped. You will then be eligible for the grand prize drawing sponsored by Torrey Smith Realty, Doug Bates, Managing Broker.
Other sponsors (as of this article) are PBI Bank, Pleasureville and Eminence who are sponsoring our advertising; Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville and DWB Restoration II Inc., are contributing sponsors.
We hope to have more sponsors before the day of the Expo.
There will be free food samples, coloring contest for the youngsters, entertainment from the cast of the Renaissance Faire, live archery demo from Eminence School archery team, and more as we are still finalizing plans.
This is a free event to the public, and many booths will give doorprizes as well as small giveaways.
Some of the businesses will bring a variety of items to sell, and this is the weekend of Mother’s Day.
Don’t forget to check out the items and save yourself time and gas, and get good marks from mom as well. Some of the businesses will also have job applications if they have openings.
The Chamber wants this to be a tribute to our good businesses and only you, the public, can make it a success. We hope to see you there, and this will be held rain or shine as there are covered areas available.
If your business, church, or civic club would like to be a member of the Chamber and have a booth at the Business Expo (you must be a member to have a booth), call the office at 845-806 or check out the website at www.chamber.henrycountyky.com where you can find an application. We welcome any who wish to be a member.
