Wildcats enter postseason at 8-2

-A A +A

Henry County beats Gallatin County 39-0 and hosts Moore this Friday in Class 3-A playoffs

By Tommie Kendall

It wasn’t their prettiest football outing this season, but the Henry County Wildcats were able to pull away from Gallatin County during the second half on Friday night to earn a 39-0 victory and end the regular season with an impressive 8-2 record.

The Wildcats, who won the District Four title, have the third best record in Class 3-A behind Somerset and Mason County at 10-0 each, and will host Moore in the first round of the state playoffs this Friday night. If the Cats win, they will be at home again the following weekend against either North Oldham or Shawnee.
