Wreck in Oldham kills two teens

Oldham County Police say that two teens have died after a wreck at Highway 53 and Old Sligo Road July 5 at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to a news release.

When police arrived they located a two-vehicle collision between a Ford passenger car, driven by Brianna Zambrzycki, 20, of LaGrange, and a full-size Dodge pickup with five passengers, according to the news release. 

Two passengers in the Ford were deceased at the scene of the collision. Police identified the two teens killed as Ben Clifford, 18, from LaGrange, and Haley OKelley, 19, of Jeffersonville, Ind. The driver of the Ford passenger car was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. 

The Dodge pickup truck, driven by Michael Baker of Pleasureville, contained a total of five persons, two adults and three juveniles, police say. All of the occupants in the pickup were transported to Norton Brownsboro Hospital but none appeared to have any serious injuries. 

Passengers in the Dodge included Stephanie Noel, also from Pleasureville, and two female and one male juveniles.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
