YoCo prepares for Red Ribbon Week

Several Youth Coalition members gathered this past weekend to create candy themed message boxes to mark Red Ribbon Week. This awareness campaign focuses on educating children about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. YoCo’ers filled boxes with dumdum suckers and rolls of smarties candies and added the message, “Don’t be a “dumdum.” Be a “smartie.” Stay away from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.” The students then traveled to area businesses and asked to display the boxes.
